Refrigerant leak check
The law sets the interval by charge size and gives you a longer one for fitting detection. That is the conversion on offer: fit the detector, halve the visits, keep the log.

- Partly. Fixed leak detection in the plant room and an automatic charge monitor on the system detect a leak continuously; the periodic leak check is set by F-gas or refrigerant law by charge size and cannot be dropped, though fixed detection doubles the permitted interval.

- Leak check intervals are set by the EU F-gas Regulation and UK equivalent by charge in CO2 equivalent (every 12, 6 or 3 months, halved again without fixed detection), and by EPA Section 608 in the US.
