Emergency lighting function and duration test
Self-test fittings are the rare case where the statutory test runs itself. The interval is unchanged; the evidence goes from a clipboard to a panel export.

- Partly. Self-testing luminaires run their own monthly function test and annual duration test and report the result to a central panel; the test still happens on the interval, the person walking round does not.

- Why the interval stays
- Monthly function test and annual full-duration test are set by BS 5266-1, AS 2293.2 and NFPA 101. Self-test fittings automate the test; they do not change its interval.

- Test log per luminaire with date, function or duration, result, and the panel report where self-test is fitted
- First move
- If the fittings are self-testing, export the panel log monthly and file it as the test record; if not, the walk-round stays.
